Application Development Workshop at Jaypee University Guna

MSTC Indore hosted a two-day application development workshop on 19-20 November 2016 at Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna.

MSTC Indore’s Gaurav Chouhan, Yashraj Nayak and Laksh Matai discussed how to create great app experiences for PCs, mobile, and more. The Universal Windows Platform (UWP) allows you to create a single app package that can be installed onto a wide range of devices — devices with big screens, small screens and even devices with no screens at all!

Workshop started with an introduction to Universal Windows Platform, attendees were provided with hands-on experience of building apps using the Visual Studio Community 2015, the free IDE for creating modern applications. Day one ended with fun packed “Microsoft build tour” style quiz.

On second day of the workshop, we discussed how to build adaptive user interface, that changes layout when running on different screen sizes, and how to connect applications to the cloud to create connected experience that work across all the devices.

Attendees walked away with a better understanding of developing modern applications with Visual Studio. One of the attendees Aditya Priyam said “I liked how the workshop covered topics related to app development such as what Universal Windows Platform actually means, they even elaborated things which I believe didn’t count in the workshop agenda.”
